The team you will be a part of

The Category Management team develops and implements marketing strategies to identify effective distribution channels. Researches and analyzes the marketplace to identify new channel, partnership and co-branding opportunities. Develops and monitors channel opportunities, licensing agreements, joint ventures and partnerships to maximize revenues. Designs, develops and implements marketing programs with third-party partners.

The Category Manager will be responsible for shaping and managing the future of the small domestic appliances category, driving sales performance, optimizing product assortment, and working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure category growth.

 

This role demands a deep understanding of market dynamics, consumer insights, and competitive landscapes, coupled with the ability to translate these insights into actionable strategies that align with overall business objectives. 

 

You will lead cross-functional teams and collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product development to ensure seamless execution and achieve ambitious targets.This role requires strong analytical, negotiation and strategic planning skills.

Your responsibilities will include

Develop and implement a category strategy aligned with business objectives.

  • Built a strong product portfolio, Manage product assortment (lifecycle), pricing and promotional strategies.
  • Be curious: Monitor market trends, consumer behavior and competitive activity and create business cases to share with the global team to bring growth and strong visibility in the Emea region for KitchenAid.
  • Lead with Vision: Shape and execute a bold Category Vision and Account Plan that boosts
  • KitchenAid and the specific category, while keeping our portfolio aligned with customer and company goals.

 

Sales & Performance Optimization

  • Collaborate and communicate regional product needs with the global product team
  • Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Turn Data into Action: Master Excel and sales data (like GFK) to transform complex datasets
  • into clear, actionable insights that excite internal teams and external partners alike.
  • Own the value chain of the product portfolio, ensuring profitability.

 

Work with supply chain teams to optimize stock levels.

  • Forecast demand based on market trends and historical data.
  • ensure product availability and reduce excess inventory.
  • Establish a flawless launch process

 

Collaborate with the trade marketing team to plan category-specific promotions.

  • Define promotional plans to drive sell-through in retail and online channels.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work seamlessly across Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Revenue Management to deliver compelling presentations that grow our value share and influence key stakeholders.
  • Provide product training and insights to sales teams.
  • Collaborate with digital and e-commerce teams with content and merchandising strategies

Minimum requirements

  • 3–5 years of proven experience in category management, ideally within small domestic appliances or consumer electronics.
  • Strong analytical mindset, confident working with sales data to uncover insights and inform decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Solid understanding of pricing strategies, inventory planning, and supplier performance management.
  • Experience collaborating with both e-commerce platforms and retail channels to maximize product visibility and sales.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
