Now, the fabled Grand Hotel Astoria will re-emerge as Corinthia Brussels later in 2024, a beacon of elegance and luxury in the heart of the Belgian capital.
Following a meticulous restoration, Corinthia Brussels will marry the classical elegance of its storied past with sophisticated modern facilities including 126 rooms and suites, a gastronomic restaurant and brasserie, and 1000 square metres of wellness. As a Chef de Partie at the prestigious Corinthia Brussels, you will be at the forefront of crafting extraordinary culinary experiences that define luxury hospitality. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the flawless execution and exceptional quality of our culinary offerings, elevating our esteemed establishment to new heights of excellence. You will embody the essence of culinary mastery, fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity while upholding the impeccable standards that define Corinthia Brussels as a beacon of luxury in the hospitality industry.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work collaboratively within a team environment, assuming ownership of your designated section.
· Uphold the highest standards of culinary excellence, ensuring consistency and quality in every meal prepared.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization in designated kitchen areas, adhering to the stringent standards set by Corinthia Brussels.
· Follow recipe specifications meticulously to ensure uniformity and excellence in food preparation.
· Execute mise-en-place efficiently, ensuring all necessary ingredients and tools are prepared and readily available.
· Undertake a diverse range of tasks, including food preparation, plating, and banquet preparation.
· Conduct daily inspections to ensure the freshness and quality of all ingredients and stocks.
· Adhere strictly to HACCP standards, demonstrating a keen awareness of food safety protocols in all aspects of your work.
· Collaborate with your team to uphold a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times.
· Whist working for the Company there will be access to a wide variety of confidential information concerning the Company, guests and employees.
· It is vital that all such information remains confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone outside the Company, guests and employees, unless otherwise stated. Please refer to the Employee Handbook for full policy details.
· To be aware of and comply with safe working practices as stipulated by the Health and Safety Act and as applicable to your place of work. This will include the incumbent’s awareness of any specific hazards at the workplace.
· The wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company will be obligatory.
· To report any defects in the building, plant or equipment according to hotel procedure.
· To ensure that any accidents to staff, guests or visitors are reported immediately in accordance with correct procedures.
· To attend statutory Fire, Health & Safety training and to be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning:
* Fire, Health and Safety
* Regulations, such as COHSS in the European Union, related to the control of substances hazardous to health.
* Risk assessments for your department
* Hotel Fire & Bomb Procedures
· As the hotel’s level of business varies considerably, there is a need for flexibility in attitude, approach and working hours.

TALENT PROFILE
Experience: Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role, preferably within a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment.
Skills & Knowledge:
· Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, including food preparation, plating, and banquet service.
· Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of culinary excellence.
· Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
· Familiarity with HACCP standards and a demonstrated commitment to food safety and hygiene.
Requirements:
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
