Data Engineer @ Jet Import

The ultimate purpose of this role is twofold: firstly, to provide management with a clear vision on leveraging data in business processes, and secondly, to ensure that IT processes and systems are configured in such a way that data can be successfully utilized.

Jet Import recognizes the importance of data in the sector in which the company operates. Acquiring the right information and ensuring that the data architecture is in place for the future is one of the current focal points, further emphasizing the significance of this role.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• You will closely collaborate with the business, with your focus being on establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving the cloud architecture and everything directly and indirectly related to it.
• Your aim is to create added value; to expand and roll out the cloud architecture further. You will provide an optimal data set-up for future development.
• Due to Jet Import's growth, there is a need for a holistic vision that supports and equips the company for the future. Data management must further prove its value in both the decision-making process and objective monitoring. Additionally, Jet Import does not operate in isolation; evolving requirements from both customers and suppliers must also be addressed.

Profile

Experience and background:

• A Master's degree in ICT, Engineering or Computer Science, preferably in IT or economics or equivalent through experience. You have a passion for your profession, and you speak the language of both business and IT.
• 2 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is necessary.
• You have strong analytical skills and experience with data integration and data transformation.
• Experience with Tableau (or other data visualization tools, e.g. Qlik, Power BI…), Salesforce (or similar CRM platforms) or Business Central (or similar ERP platforms) is a strong plus.
• Experience with Azure (or other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google) is a plus
• Affinity with Networking, Security, Storage, Automation is also a plus.
