Field of activity

The Database Management department is responsible for the database landscape of the German Pension Insurance Data Center (RZ DRV). We plan, provide and maintain the databases on various standardized platforms for a large number of our customers' applications. As a central component of the IT architecture, we play an important role in enabling the smooth processing of pension and rehabilitation processes.
We are looking forward to welcoming new colleagues to the Database Transition team in Berlin or Würzburg.

Your tasks

• You install, configure and administer Oracle databases
• You will plan, design and document the database landscape for our internal and external customers (pension insurance providers)
• You will lead and work on IT projects
• You program tools/scripts to automate tasks
• You supervise and initiate laboratory and test setups of Oracle products

In our young, multicultural team, we work flexibly in presence in the modern office building as well as in the home office.

Your profile

• You have a successfully completed university education (Bachelor/Diploma/FH) in the field of IT or a successful completion of a comparable IT qualification or a successful completion of an IT specialist training with a focus on databases or comparable practical experience in the IT field
• You have several years of practical experience in the database sector
• You have sound knowledge of the installation, administration and configuration of the IT systems in your area of responsibility, especially Oracle RDBMS, as well as the associated software, protocols and standards
• You have experience in recognizing, analyzing and correcting errors in the IT systems in the area of responsibility
• In addition, you have knowledge and experience in dealing with operating systems (Unix / Linux, Windows, Shell) and also have SQL knowledge
• Your German language skills correspond to language level B2, we will be happy to support you in expanding your language skills in the future

• Ideally, you are an Oracle Certified Professional (higher than version 12), already have project experience and experience in conceptual writing
• We are looking for team players with good communication skills
• A high degree of task flexibility and a personal commitment to the task round off your profile
