To strengthen our Benelux (Belgium & The Netherlands) Digital Technology & Innovation (DT&I) department, we have a challenging opportunity for a Digital Technology & Innovation Coordinator (new function) –

HQ Antwerp.

The mission of the Benelux DT&I department is to be the facilitator of Innovation & Digitalization, promote the use of technology and foster innovation in the broadest sense possible, often within unexplored matter of knowledge and expertise.

The role of the Digital Technology & Innovation Coordinator is to promote the profitable and sustainable growth of SGS Benelux by creating and contributing to digital & innovative solutions that add value to the client and that automate our operations. This role collaborates throughout the organization and aligns efforts towards the discovery of opportunities to improve productivity of operations, improve our customer experience and design new business models or new services of value for our clients.

The new colleague we are looking for:

• is the promoter of innovation, digitalization and creativity in the Benelux under guidance of the DT&I Manager.
• is a facilitator of the digitalization & innovation process to identify digitalization & innovation opportunities that expand, optimize, improve businesses, existing operations and also allow the creation of new services, products and / or business models with the potential to become rapidly repeatable, scalable and profitable.
• ensures the implementation of the processes and tools of the innovation model based on Design Thinking and Lean Startup principles. Leads and guides the virtual project teams in the Discovery of Insights, development of Concepts, testing of Proof of Concepts and Minimum Viable Products, design of Business Models, …
• facilitates in establishing a culture of innovation & digitalization in coordination with Benelux DT&I and IT Management Team.
• monitors and discovers various technological options, trends, market and customer needs that may generate future business opportunities and possible new and disruptive business models.

• This role requires a passionate, self-motivated, resilient, curious person who works well in ambiguous, complex and changing environments!

Your profile:

• You have already a first experience in a similar role (1 – 3 years of experience); experience that combines IT, AI, understanding business needs, preparing business cases… Experience in a lab environment is a big plus!
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.
• Of course you are very communicative.
• A bachelor in “Design thinking” methodology is a big advantage.
