Electromechanical Technician

Reporting To: Shift Manager

Purpose of the Role

As an Electromechanical Technician, you will play a pivotal
role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing production machines,
infrastructure, and utilities. This role is essential to ensure smooth
operations and continuous improvement within a dynamic production environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance
  & Troubleshooting: Independently perform preventive and corrective
  maintenance on production installations, infrastructure, and utilities.
  Diagnose and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
  
• Improvement
  Projects: Participate in and lead small -scale projects aimed at
  improving production processes and equipment reliability.
  
• Team
  Supervision: Mentor and supervise fellow technicians, guiding them
  through complex problems and supporting their professional growth.
  
• Technical
  Documentation: Report, document, and draft technical manuals and work
  instructions when required.
  
• Innovative
  Solutions: Provide creative solutions to extraordinary situations,
  such as shortages of spare parts, to maintain uninterrupted production.
  
• Technical
  Interpretation: Read and interpret technical plans, drawings, and
  documents to execute tasks accurately.
  
• Collaboration: Work alongside external suppliers and provide technical support to
  production facilities and operators.
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanics or Electricity.
  
• Experience: 4–5 years of hands -on experience in a similar role.
  
• Training: 1–2 years of structured on -the -job training to familiarize with processes
  and equipment.
  

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise
  in electricity (high/low current, digital techniques, drive technology,
  control technology, automation, switching).
  
• Mechanical
  proficiency (mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, drive and vacuum
  technology).
  
• Measuring
  and programming techniques.
  
• PLC
  programming knowledge.
  
• Basic
  PC skills.
  
• Multilingual
  abilities are an advantage.
  

Tools & Equipment

• Electrical
  Tools: Multimeter, insulation meter, current clamp, oscilloscope.
  
• Mechanical
  Tools: Spanners, grinding tools, assembly/disassembly tools,
  mechanical measuring equipment, hydraulic tools.
  
• Software: PLC programming applications.
  

Performance Environment

• Operate
  in a high -paced setting requiring technical expertise and autonomous
  execution.
  
• Efficiently
  intervene in faults using documented procedures and technical knowledge,
  occasionally with support from supervisors or colleagues.
