About the role:

Objectives of this role are threefold:

  • Manufacturing Line Management in order to meet the Business Strategy Plan.

  • People Management, providing leadership and strategic direction to the team.

  • Drive Operational Excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

How you will contribute:

Manufacturing Line Management:

  • Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality and safety standards and production protocols.

  • Optimize resources allocation to assist the department director to meet the annual operating plan and budgetary commitments.

  • Drive KPI definition and ensure implementation and tracking on a regular basis.

  • Ensure adequate training initiatives and implement control systems on the shift to eliminate product discrepancies.

  • Provide required support for event investigations from initiation to closure in a timely manner.

  • Contribute to internal and external regulatory inspections, including oral defense of dossiers in inspection room.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Facilities, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, a.o.) to resolve operational issues and optimize production efficiency.

People Management:

  • Lead and motivate the team, providing (strategic) guidance, training and support to ensure optimal performance and career development.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and excellence.

  • Set clear objectives and provide timely feedback to facilitate professional growth.

Operational Excellence:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and optimize resource utilization.

  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other tools to identify opportunities for process optimizations and cost savings.

  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline manufacturing processes and minimize downtime.

  • Accountable for root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for deviations and non-conformances, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Serve as Manufacturing main point of contact / subject matter expert for product impact decisions as appropriate.

  • Coordinate necessary manufacturing resources and rally support groups to resolve production-related issues.

  • Ambassador of the Takeda culture in Ethics, Compliance and EHS.

What you bring to Takeda :

  • Bachelor degree or higher (Master/PhD.), preferably in Biochemistry/Science/Bio-Engineering or other technical field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a position of Manufacturing/Manufacturing. Sciences/Process Engineering, preferably in pharmaceutical industry.

  • Proven leadership experience (3+ years) with a track record of successfully managing teams and driving results.

  • Fluent in French and English (both oral and written).

  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), JDE, Minitab, SQ LIMs, Critical Farm_Citrix (OSIPI).

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma tools and Project Management skills.

  • Master DMAIC methodology and associated statistical tools.

  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving with process and equipment.

  • Experience with automated process equipment and control.

  • Broad technical knowledge in Manufacturing and more specifically in production capacity modelling.

  • Experience with implementation and driving accountability through visual management.

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards (incl. GMP) in the pharmaceutical industry.
