Full Time Nanny for Downtown Brooklyn Family #FT0140

Full Time Nanny required for a Downtown Brooklyn family starting ASAP with a baby boy born August 2024. Specific childcare duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing nurturing care to their son, establishing and maintaining routines, prioritizing baby’s development and handling all child-related tidying and cleaning. You will be responsible for planning activities, attending classes and overall creating a warm environment for their son’s imagination and silliness to thrive. The family is looking for a high energy nanny who is confident in their skills and proactive with time management. An individual who is loving, attentive and kind and who has worked with multiple newborn families will be a strong match with this family.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a self starter, have a good sense of humor, and be comfortable building a long-lasting and supportive partnership with a family that values direct and open communication. Recent experience with infant milestones (and beyond!) and willingness to learn and adapt is essential. This family values a bilingual nanny (Portuguese is preferred) - however, the family is open to interviewing all exceptional candidates.

Location: Downtown Brooklyn, NYC. Fantastic location + building amenities, close proximity to public transport.

Start date: ASAP

Days/times: Guaranteed 40 hours/week: general work hours to land between 9:00am - 5:00pm, with ability and interest to flex as needed for earlier/later days, date nights, weekends, travel, etc.

Children: One son (born August 2024)

Conditions: $30 - $35 per hour* plus unlimited metrocard, health care stipend, sick/personal days, vacation and public holidays *dependent on experience and other considerations. The family is open to discussions surrounding the final compensation package for their preferred candidate.

• Work authorization for the US
• A minimum of 5 years working as a nanny
• Fluency in Portuguese preferred; open to other languages
• A well-suited demeanor for working infants and with toddlers
• Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
• Proven tenure with multiple families including excellent references
• Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
• Ability to complete all child related duties (including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning up/tidying bedroom and play areas, laundry, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc)
