Full Time Nanny for Long Island City Family #FT0148

Full Time live-out Nanny required for a Long Island City family with an infant daughter (born February 2025) starting ASAP. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child related duties while providing nurturing care and interacting with their daughter in a warm, loving, and engaged manner. To be successful in this role, you will need to be experienced with infants and a proactive and responsible individual. The first time parents are looking for a long term partnership with someone who will help support their daughter’s development + milestones. A calm, confident, and considerate Nanny who loves to stay active and be outdoors would be an ideal match for this family! A candidate with some flexibility for as needed weekend and live-in support in the family’s home in Westchester is preferred, however the family is open to interviewing all strong and qualified candidates. The family home is a walk up - so ability to navigate stairs is required for this role.

Location: Long Island City, NY + Westchester, NY

Start date: ASAP (April/early May 2025)

Days/times: Guaranteed 40-45 hours/week, Monday through Friday - start time at 8.30am, with specific schedule to be discussed (general end time between 5-6pm). Flexibility would be ideal, with availability to support as needed for earlier/later days and to accommodate weekly date nights, infrequent weekends and overnight support in Westchester, NY.

Children: Daughter (born February 2025)

Conditions: $25 - $35 per hour* plus unlimited metrocard, sick/personal days, vacation and public holidays *dependent on experience and other considerations. The family is open to offering a healthcare stipend based on candidate needs.

For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

• A minimum of 5 years experience - with NYC based experience preferred
• A well-suited demeanor for working with infants and toddlers
• Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, and high emotional intelligence
• Proven tenure with multiple families including excellent references
• Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
• An open and flexible schedule - including infrequent early mornings/late evenings, date nights, weekends and domestic travel.
• Ability to complete all child related duties in addition to light housekeeping/household tasks
• Ability to navigate stairs on a daily basis
