About the Role

Join RELYzIT Talent as a Senior Full-stack Developer (Java/Angular) to help drive a major business transformation for our client in Brussels. As a Senior Full-stack Developer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering robust, scalable solutions that directly support business objectives. What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based business applications, both greenfield and legacy.


• Building and integrating application components and web services (SOAP/RESTful APIs).


• Collaborating closely with technical leads, architects, and analysts to shape architecture and technical solutions.


• Contributing to architectural decisions, component design, and technical working groups.


• Participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, technical workshops, and user meetings as needed.


• Supporting the full software development lifecycle: from concept and design to testing, deployment, and documentation.


• Assisting with technical documentation, deployment processes, and reporting using tools like JUnit and JIRA.


• Mentoring junior developers and integrating seamlessly into existing teams.


• Championing best practices in test-driven development, continuous integration, and code quality.

Technical Skills & Experience

• 5-7+ years of professional Java development experience (full-stack preferred).


• Expertise in Java and Spring Framework (including Spring Security, Spring Batch).


• Strong knowledge of JPA (Hibernate), SOA, microservices, and CQRS patterns.


• Proven experience with SOAP and RESTful web services.


• Frontend development skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular.


• Hands-on experience with Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Openshift, SVN or GIT, Eclipse or IntelliJ, Sonar, JBoss, Tomcat.


• Solid understanding of relational databases and O/R mapping (PostgreSQL, SQL Server).


• Ability to read and interpret BPMN, UML, and technical documentation.


• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence for project tracking and documentation.


• Experience in multi-system integration and complex environments.


• Test-driven development using JUnit, Mockito, Cypress, Selenium, and CI pipelines.


• Nice to have: Talend, ZK, Oracle, Kafka.

Project Details

• Freelance position with an initial contract until 30/06/2024, with strong potential for extension (long-term mission).


• Based in Brussels, Belgium (on-site presence required up to 9 hours/day, Monday to Friday).


• Hybrid work model: up to 3 days remote per week (7h48 per day).
