Job Description - GL Accountant

The GL Accountant is responsible for providing support to the organization's financial operations, including general accounting, providing support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payments and invoicing.
The GL Accountant reports directly to the Finance and Controlling Manager.

Monthly closing, process general accounting transactions ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
Process accounts payable transactions, accounts receivable transactions, including verifying and reconciling invoices and statements. This in collaboration with other colleagues active within the finance team.
Prepare and process vendor payments in a timely and accurate manner.
Preparation and declaration of monthly VAT returns.
Preparation of yearly statutory account
Generate invoices for customers and ensure that they are paid on time.
Support the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Participate in the annual budgeting process by providing data and insights as needed.
Support financial audits.
Process general accounting, ensuring true and accurate monthly financial statements
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Prepare vendor payments and invoices

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial operations.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing.
Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify process improvement opportunities
