About the Role We're seeking an experienced European HSE Advisor to support large-scale data centre construction projects across multiple European locations. This is a rotation-based position, covering Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium initially, with potential to expand into other EU countries as projects progress. Rotation Schedule subject to client needs, sample schedule, 2 weeks on / 1 week off. The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance across all worksites, supporting diverse project teams while promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regular HSE audits, inspections, and risk assessments across European project sites.
* Implement and maintain safety management systems and safe systems of work.
* Lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training.
* Monitor compliance with Irish, EU, and local legislation and company policies.
* Investigate incidents, report findings, and implement corrective actions.
* Maintain accurate HSE documentation, records, and performance data.
* Drive continuous improvement and promote best practice in all aspects of HSE management.
* Liaise effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients on safety matters.
* Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance and audits.
Requirements
* Minimum 1+ years' experience in a Health, Safety & Environment role, ideally in construction, roofing, cladding, or data centre environments.
* Recognised HSE qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
* In-depth understanding of Irish and EU HSE legislation.
* Strong communication and influencing skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
* Proven ability to work independently across multiple sites and jurisdictions.
* Flexibility to travel extensively across Europe on rotation.
