As our future Identity & Access Management Expert; not only will you get valuable exposure by joining us, but you’ll also get many opportunities to learn that will support you in shaping a rewarding career.
Key responsibilities
Following the merger of MS AISE and MSIG EU into MSIG Europe mid-2025, a high-level understanding of how to implement identity & access management in the merged organization has been created: our Operations department will create and maintain the framework and set the standards, while IT is responsible for executing the standards, implementing and maintaining the required systems etc.
This role is positioned in MSIG Europe’s Operations department and as such, execution of the standards set is not part of the responsibility of this role. The expert we are looking for is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the enterprise’s identity and access governance framework. You will ensure that the right users have the appropriate access to systems, applications, and data, while safeguarding security, compliance, and operational efficiency. In this role you’ll act as a subject‑matter expert for authentication, authorization, privileged access, lifecycle management, and identity governance. An overview of your responsibilities:
Strategy & Architecture
- Develop and maintain the IAM strategy aligned with business, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Further define IAM related roles and responsibilities within MSIG Europe.
- Recommend improvements to strengthen identity security and reduce risk.
Governance & Compliance
- Own IAM/SoD governance standards (role model, SoD rule set/matrix) for key processes and privileged access.
- Define tool-based IAM workflows (JML, access requests/approvals) with built-in SoD checks and clear ownership/evidence.
- Run exceptions: risk acceptance, time-bounded waivers, compensating controls, and audit-ready documentation.
- Track IAM/SoD effectiveness (KPIs, trends) and drive regular access/role reviews and recertifications with control/data owners.
- Define and implement appropriate controls to track accurate implementation of standards across the organization
- Enforce least-privilege and zero-trust access controls across the organization.
- Conduct periodic access reviews, audits, and certification campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC2, NIS2).
- Maintain IAM documentation, policies, and standards.
Security & Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate identity‑related security risks.
- Monitor and respond to identity-related incidents.
- Collaborate with SOC teams for threat detection and response involving identity abuse.
Stakeholder & Project Management
- Run required projects together with the relevant teams and stakeholders e.g., implementation of RBAC and the creation of authorisation concepts.
- Partner with business owners, HR, IT operations, and application teams to define access requirements.
- Provide expert guidance, training, and support on IAM topics.
Additional context: MSIG Europe is currently going through a very significant IT transformation programme, which is partly triggered by the merger. As part of that programme, the target IAM application for the merged organization has been identified and implementation is ongoing. In the meantime, existing solutions operate the required processes. In this role, you are not expected to take full ownership for these solutions and processes, but you are expected to work with the team to ensure a proper hand-over and transition to the target application landscape, improved processes, compliance etc.
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree
- 5-7 years of experience, for example in an external (financial services) consulting / audit environment or internal IAM expert role
- You will work in an international environment, which means that you should be able to communicate fluently in English
- Excellent skills in communication and collaboration skills across the various layers of the organisation, that allow you to successfully manage and execute initiatives
- Appetite to change and continuous improvement
- Team player who gets things done
- Strong delivery mindset, ability to meet deadlines
- Technical IAM expertise (Azure AD / Entra ID, SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk, Ping, SSO, MFA, etc.) is strongly preferred.
Organisation & Team
- The Identity & Access Management expert will be part of the European Corporate Services team. We also invest in your personal growth and knowledge sharing to enable you to deliver the best possible service in multiple disciplines
