Infrastructure System Engineer

We currently have a vacancy for an Infrastructure System Engineer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks:

• Practical validation and implementation of the solutions recommended or designed by the Software or Infrastructure Architects;
• Design, development, tests, documentation, release control, maintenance and technical support of infrastructure software components and services matching the specifications;
• Provision of technical studies, technical expertise, technical evaluations in relation with Information Systems infrastructure;
• Assistance with configuration of the system for production deployment and in training administrators and users;
• Participating in the design and creation of scalable software;
• Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement;
• Act as a System Administrator for an internal network based on a Linux and Windows computer.

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 11 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Good knowledge of web applications, apps back-end applications, infrastructure script, or other development area;
• Knowledge of relational database management;
• Knowledge of Web and network infrastructure including VPN and Windows and Linux operating systems and docker technologies;
• Experience in component-based and service-oriented applications development or configuration;
• Experience in managing Windows Update services and endpoint management systems;
• Good understanding of IT security requirements;
• Notions on usage of social media;
• Excellent command of the English language.
