Job Description - International Business Development Manager Vegetables
Drawing on more than 150 years of expertise across the agro-supply chain, our collective knowledge and close collaboration with our partner farmers, customers and suppliers makes us the go-to fruit and vegetable ingredients supplier for leading food and beverage manufacturers across the globe.
Due to the expansion of our sales team we are searching for a Business Development Manager Vegetables at our location in Breda (NL) or Rijkevorsel (BE).
International Business Development Manager Vegetables
As a Business Development Manager, you are part of the commercial team and you will report to the Commercial Director. You work closely together with our Agro & Purchase and Product Development departments to find the right products which answer the customer’s needs. You are responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building relationships with key clients and driving sales within the food market. This role focuses on expanding market share in the EMEA region.
Develop and implement a strategic plan for growth within the targeted markets and customer segments
Conduct research on market trends, consumer preferences and competitor activity within the food sector
Identify emerging market trends and opportunities
Identify, pursue, and establish relationships with new clients, including foodservice providers and distributors
Achieve sales targets by identifying, qualifying and closing new business opportunities
Work with cross-functional teams to introduce new products to the market
Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions to meet and exceed revenue goals
Stay updated on the latest trends in vegetable varieties, farming techniques, sustainability practices, and industry standards
Provide insights and support the Manager Market Intelligence to develop promotional strategies
Educate clients on the nutritional benefits, sustainability, and unique selling points of the company’s vegetable products
Drive the needed activities to push/pull our concepts to the relevant market pockets
Organise and use network events to understand/pull relevant information
Customer visits, exhibitions and conferences
Master's or bachelor's degree in a relevant study
Outstanding knowledge of the B2B food market
Commercial and customer-oriented
Proven track record in setting up new business and demonstrated success
Entrepreneurial skills
Good project management skills
Result and action-driven
Strong communication skills
Good analytical skills and anticipating abilities (market, products)
Excellent spoken and written Dutch & English;
Ability to work independently
Willing to travel (up to 25%)
