Your role & work environment

As an Investment Specialist, you will be part of the instrument selection team and have a specific focus on the investment funds offer. This team is part of the ING Investment Office Market Leaders, led by the Chief Investment Officer.

The Investment Office (IO) creates a coherent global vision on the economic and financial environment and evaluates market risks and opportunities, selecting instruments, managing the availability of the fund offering and creating content and tools to support all segments of ING Belgium. In line with the product strategy and based on client profiles, the IO defines an optimal fund offer specifically dedicated to ING clients.

The Investment Office Benelux team consists of more than 50 specialists in Brussels, Amsterdam and Luxemburg.

Your key responsibilities

Be responsible for the content creation linked to the Fund Selection Activities and manage the funds selection offering:

• You participate in the development of the fund offer: idea generation, monitoring of the performance of the instruments, operational maintenance of the universe of the selected instruments...
• You are managing the dedicated content and tools linked to the fund selection activities, towards all segments (Private Individuals, Personal Banking, Private Banking…)
• You are in close contact with our external asset managers (Amundi, BlackRock…) and manage the relationship
• Be an ambassador of the Investment Office Market Leaders and be the main point of contact for our internal stakeholders (Sales Managers, Sales Development team).
• Close cooperation with all internal IO stakeholders: the IO Fund Management team managing the proprietary ING Funds, the IO Communication team, the IO Strategy team.
• Provide all information for reporting, risk management and communication purpose.

As an Investment Specialist, you will also need:

• A Master degree and/or equivalent through experience;
• You have a creative mind and always keep the commercial perspective in what you do
• You have a reasonable knowledge and/or experience in Investments (mutual funds & ETF, sales...)
• A good knowledge of English, Dutch and French
• An excellent knowledge of Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and are not afraid to learn new financial software’s (SIX, Morningstar)
• Excellent organization and coordination skills: you assure that things go smoothly and “First Time Right”;
• You love collaborating with different people but are also able to function autonomously.
• You take initiative and make things happen thanks to your problem-solving skills & ‘can-do’ attitude, quickly & accurately. Operational excellence is a must for you.
