Job Description - IT Support Specialist

About the Role


As a Level 1 Helpdesk Technician at Penta Group, you will be the first point of contact for users
seeking technical assistance. You will provide prompt, courteous, and efficient support to
resolve fundamental IT issues and escalate more complex problems to the appropriate
personnel. This is an ideal role for someone starting their IT career and eager to grow in a
collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line support for technical issues via phone, email, chat, or ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to user accounts, basic hardware/software, email, printers, and connectivity.
  • Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system in a clear and detailed manner.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2 support or team leads.
  • Assist with user onboarding/offboarding tasks such as account setup and hardware provisioning.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and contribute to the internal knowledge base.




About You


Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of IT support experience.
  • Familiarity with Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn.
  • CompTIA A+ or similar certification preferred.
