Role overview

We are looking for an experienced Java Cloud Architect to take ownership of the design, setup and ongoing operation of application architectures running in cloud environments. In this role, you will shape information systems that are scalable, reliable and easy to maintain, while making sure that different technologies and platforms work well together. You will also act as a key bridge between project leaders and development teams, keeping the technical direction clear for everyone involved.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Setting up, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting application architectures in cloud environments.
• Designing and reviewing information systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
• Handling complex architectures and integrating different systems and technologies into a coherent solution.
• Building architectural components and key building blocks across both back-end and front-end layers.
• Reviewing system integrations, performing data analysis, and creating data models.
• Coordinating how the technical architecture is implemented across the various development teams.
• Acting as the technical point of contact between project leaders and developers to keep communication clear and aligned.
• Producing architecture documentation and supporting testing, deployment, reporting, and the delivery of key features.

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Solid hands-on experience with middleware platforms such as WebLogic Application Server, Oracle Service Bus, and other JEE containers.
• Good knowledge of messaging technologies, including Java Message Service (JMS) and Apache Kafka.
• Strong skills in JEE-based application development and enterprise integration.
• Practical experience with Angular and eUI on the front-end side.
• Familiarity with the Akoma Ntoso XML standard, used to structure legislative, parliamentary, and judiciary documents.
• A strong analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills, with attention to engineering quality.
• The ability to write clear, well-structured technical documentation and to contribute actively in technical discussions.
• Good communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong communication skills in English, French is a plus.
