(Junior) System Engineer - AWS Transformation

You’ll be part of the team driving our move from on-prem to AWS, making sure our systems are secure, scalable, and running 24/7. Your role will combine:

• Infrastructure build & migration – Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, databases) while keeping our on-prem environment healthy until migration is complete.
• Collaboration & delivery – Work closely with developers to ensure smooth deployments, manage and evolve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), and troubleshoot build or deployment issues.
• Monitoring & optimisation – Keep a close eye on performance, security, and availability; resolve infrastructure and database issues quickly; and document systems for clarity and efficiency.
• Innovation & improvement – Stay on top of new tools and best practices, actively suggesting improvements for automation, security, and reliability.
  

You’re a hands-on problem solver with both cloud and on-prem experience, ideally bringing:

• Technical expertise – 2+ years in systems engineering; solid AWS skills; Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform); Linux, Docker, Bash scripting; and CI/CD (GitHub Actions preferred).
• Hybrid knowledge – Comfort with both on-prem and cloud environments, including maintaining highly available production systems (24/7).
  Problem-solving mindset – Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex issues.
• Communication skills – Able to explain technical matters clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
