Manager, AI & Strategy

While regular presence at client offices is required, we offer flexible and hybrid working arrangements. Our main offices are in Brussels' city center, and we gather there every Friday to foster team exchanges and strengthen our collective culture.

We are looking for a Manager in our AI & Strategy practice who wants to grow into a director, someone who finds shaping a consulting practice as interesting as running a project. Agilytic is an entrepreneurial firm, so we expect real ownership and initiative from experienced people: you will be trusted to identify what matters, take the lead, and create momentum rather than wait for it. The role covers client work, team leadership, and an active hand in how the AI & Strategy practice develops.

You will

• Lead projects end to end, from proposal to delivery, across data science and AI use cases.
• Own client relationships and grow them over time, with real accountability for outcomes.
• Spot commercial, technical, and organizational opportunities, and turn them into action without waiting for permission.
• Coach consultants on technical skills, project management, and client interaction.
• Help shaping the direction of the AI & Strategy practice: what we offer, how we work, where we go.
• Drive internal initiatives that improve how Agilytic operates.

We are looking for candidates with a master's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, business, or a related quantitative or scientific discipline and at least 5 years of professional experience across:

• Delivering data science or AI projects, from scoping to handover.
• Managing project teams and client stakeholders.
• Working with cloud data environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Using AI tools (LLMs, agents, copilots) in actual project work, as a practitioner.
• Statistical packages and ETL tools (Python, R, Spark, SAS, SPSS).

Other requirements:

• Fluency in English (our internal working language) is required, plus fluency in French or Dutch. Strong proficiency in Dutch is particularly valued.
• Valid type B driving license (Belgian car license) or equivalent.
• Eligibility to work in Belgium and the European Union. We cannot provide relocation support.

Beyond the technical profile, we are looking for:

• Strong ownership mindset: you take initiative, push things forward, and do not wait to be told.
• Genuine interest in building a practice.
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to turn it into structure.
• Commercial instinct: you notice opportunity and follow through on it.
• Empathy and directness. You give honest feedback and take it well.
• Curiosity about AI and the judgment to know when it helps and when it does not.

This role is a path toward a director position at Agilytic. It means taking increasing ownership of accounts and practice areas, bringing in new work, and being someone junior consultants learn from. We will be direct during the process about whether we see that trajectory, and we expect the same from candidates.

The bar for this role is high. While we have ambitious plans for Agilytic, we know that hiring right matters more than hiring fast. Our process is designed to reflect the expectations of the position: an initial conversation, a deep-dive on your project leadership and practice-building experience, a hands-on case study at our offices where you will demonstrate your expertise, and a final meeting with the founding partners.
