For underground gas-storage facility in Loenhout () we’re looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader (m/f/x).

The gas is kept in buffer so that users can at any time cope with the difference between the quantity they supply and the quantity their customers purchase.

Your
respon­sibilities

As Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing, leading and coaching the Mechanics team that undertakes preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure that our facility runs smoothly, safely and to a high standard.

Your team will consist of two work planners and seven mechanics

You will prepare your team's schedule based on the plant's maintenance schedule and operational needs

You will help to develop and update the maintenance plans for preventive work and provide input for activity budgeting

You will draft procedures and instructions and take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of staff and facilities. You will analyse any undesirable events and/or occupational accidents, and implement actions to prevent them

You will be responsible for mechanical spare parts management, with the assistance of the warehouse manager

You will act as requester in the preparation of permits to work and hot-work permits and will define the safety measures to be taken when carrying out the work, as well as drawing up the safety plans in connection with requested permits to work

you

A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electromechanical engineering, or equivalent experience

Around 10 years of relevant work experience in a process environment and an excellent knowledge of mechanics

Preferably some experience with a Seveso plant

A commitment to working safely

A real team-player mentality with strong leadership and communication skills, enabling you to manage and motivate others and give constructive feedback

A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and spot opportunities for process optimisation

An excellent command of Dutch and a good knowledge of English

Additionally, this role requires:

A willingness to eventually be part of a shift/on-call system, meaning that you must live within 30 minutes of our Loenhout site or be willing to move that close

A category B driving licence
