About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior MFT Consultant to join our client’s mission-critical team, driving the administration, operation, and integration of the GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer (MFT) platform. This freelance opportunity is designed for elite builders who thrive on impact, ownership, and technical excellence. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring secure, seamless, and resilient file transfer operations at the heart of a leading European financial institution.

As MFT Consultant, you’ll be instrumental in safeguarding sensitive data flows, enabling business continuity, and supporting the integration of critical systems. Your expertise will directly influence operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and the secure exchange of information across the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Administer and operate the GoAnywhere MFT platform, managing access rights, upgrades, and technical support.


• Oversee project ticketing and act as the technical liaison with the platform integrator.


• Execute operational controls, including starting/stopping MFT services, performing backups/restores, and conducting disaster-recovery drills.


• Implement continuous monitoring, alerting, and reporting (leveraging tools such as Splunk).


• Drive integration of MFT with Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) solutions.


• Develop and configure secure file deposit and retrieval workflows, automating file transfers to internal business applications.


• Participate in integration and penetration testing cycles, ensuring risk mitigation and security assurance.


• Produce and update technical/functional documentation, run-books, and deliver knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven expertise in GoAnywhere MFT administration, integration, and operation.


• Strong experience with ETL processes and secure file transfer automation.


• Hands-on skills in Linux environments and Oracle databases.


• Proficiency with GIT for version control and documentation management.


• Experience integrating MFT with IAM and SIEM (Splunk) solutions.


• Advanced documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities.


• Builder mindset: ownership, problem-solving, and a drive for impact.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


• Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional European languages are a plus.


• Availability for on-site work in Luxembourg 1–2 days per week (hybrid possible, on-site preferred).


• Immediate eligibility to work in Luxembourg (EU work permit if required).

• Compliance with all documentation and vetting requirements (ID, work permit, NDA).
