Job Description - Occupational Health & Safety Administrator

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for an Occupational Health & Safety Administrator to join our UniQue team!

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Serve as the principal Health & Safety Advisor for the base location of the institution and provide support to additional sites in line with European and Host Nation standards.
  • Ensure emergency procedures (fire safety, first aid, evacuations) are in place and regularly updated, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct Health & Safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments; prepare reports, recommend corrective actions, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining Health & Safety policies, procedures, and documentation, including ISO 45001:2018 compliance.
  • Coordinate the site Health & Safety Committee and act as the local focal point for all H&S matters.
  • Support Health & Safety communication, awareness, and training programmes across the organisation.
  • Lead or support accident investigations and environmental monitoring (noise, air quality, radiation).
  • Contribute to Health & Safety budget planning and organisation-wide best-practice sharing.
  • Coordinate all Health & Safety aspects of the Headquarters Building Project, ensuring compliance with host-nation and building safety requirements.
  • Oversee risk assessments for relocations, contractor works, and transitional activities, ensuring hazards are identified, controlled, and communicated.
  • Develop safe work procedures, emergency measures, and readiness checks for the new premises.
  • Act as the focal point for incident prevention and response during the transition.
  • Transfer key Health & Safety knowledge to support continuity throughout all project phases.
  • Support post-occupancy reviews and provide recommendations for ongoing compliance.
  • Prepare reports and updates for senior management on safety performance, risks, and mitigation actions.
  • Deliver staff briefings, induction materials, and other safety communications during the transition.

What do you need to succeed in this position?

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in a relevant discipline (e.g., science, engineering, environmental health, occupational health & safety).
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational safety and health principles, regulations, and standards, including ISO 45001:2018.
  • Proven experience supporting or managing Health & Safety activities across multiple sites in an international environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience working as a Health & Safety Advisor within an international or national organisation.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining integrated management systems.
  • Experience conducting ISO 45001 audits, preparing reports, and following up on corrective actions.
  • Experience developing Occupational Health & Safety procedures.
  • Experience carrying out risk assessments across diverse activities and environments.
  • Experience developing or working within integrated management systems.
  • Technical skills in environmental monitoring (noise, air quality, radiation) or experience delivering technical survey programmes.
  • Demonstrated competency in fire safety management.
  • Experience managing Health & Safety compliance within Facility Management environments.
  • Knowledge of international Health & Safety legislation and compliance frameworks.
  • Certified or qualified trainer.
  • Ability to design and deliver Health & Safety training (e.g., manual handling, PPE, emergency procedures).
  • An active NATO Secret Security Clearance at the time of application is mandatory.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. (Knowledge of an additional EU language is an asset.)
