Overall purpose of job:
We are looking for a dynamic leader to coordinate and elevate the VAS function in our European Distribution Centers. In this role, you will transform operational requirements into scalable solutions that enable product launches and open new market opportunities. You will collaborate with Commercial, QA/QC, Regulatory, and Operations partners to ensure outstanding supply chain performance for all HMD products requiring VAS treatment at our Courcelles and La Louvière MedTech sites.
Key responsibilities:
We work together to make things happen. In this role, you will:
Lead and optimize VAS operations (including outserting, kitting, rework, Bid & Tender, reshrink, and related activities) to meet customer needs and performance targets.
Enable new markets and product launches by setting up VAS requirements in a timely, standardized, and scalable way.
Collaborate across teams—Regional Planning, S&OP, EDC Operations, QA/QC, and Regulatory—to align capacity, materials, and timelines for predictable flows.
Facilitate weekly VAS reviews with Planning and Customer Service to quickly resolve issues that could impact customer commitments.
Supervise and coordinate component and consumable availability (labels, IFUs, cables, secondary packaging) using entitlement and kanban principles to prevent stock-outs.
Report weekly on VAS process and component management targets (e.g., labels, IFUs, cables, secondary packaging), ensuring targets are met and initiating continuous improvement actions to maintain and enhance performance
Champion process excellence through LEAN, 5S, and other improvement methods to reduce waste, shorten lead times, and lower cost-to-serve.
Standardize and document VAS procedures to raise quality and reproducibility.
Lead or support approved, funded site projects that impact VAS operations.
Identify, assess and proactively mitigate risks across the supply chain.
Champion full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and Johnson & Johnson policies.
Required Qualification and Core Proficiencies for the role:
Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Finance or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
5+ years in manufacturing and/or logistics within the healthcare industry.
Shown people leadership and experience handling cross-functional teams.
Strong planning, scheduling and material-flow knowledge; LEAN and process-excellence experience is a plus.
Proficiency with ERP and planning tools; strong analytical skills and the ability to extract and interpret data.
Exceptional attention to detail, strong prioritization and organisational skills.
Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong verbal and written communication; comfortable working across multiple functional levels and regions.
Fluent in English; basic proficiency in French
Ability to anticipate and lead risks effectively.
