Our client is pioneering sustainable water management, operating hundreds of treatment plants and thousands of kilometers of sewerage systems. As a Process Technician, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining and optimizing water purification infrastructure. Your work directly improves water quality in local rivers and streams, supporting environmental harmony and public health. What You’ll Be Doing

• Maintain and manage water treatment plants and pumping stations within the Mechelen region, ensuring optimal operation and reliability.


• Collaborate with a skilled team to monitor, analyze, and adjust purification processes, from electrical and mechanical checks to water sampling and analysis.


• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, such as pump blockages, and proactively adjust processes to maintain high-quality standards.


• Engage in laboratory work, administrative duties, and digital reporting, making your role dynamic and multifaceted.


• Operate both on-site at the main water treatment facility and mobile across the surrounding region, adapting to evolving operational needs.


• Utilize IT applications for process monitoring, reporting, and communication, ensuring transparency and efficiency.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Electrical knowledge: Valid BA4 certificate and solid foundation in industrial electricity (Intermediate level required).


• Process monitoring: Experience in tracking operational trends and adjusting installations for optimal performance (Intermediate level).


• Competence in using IT applications for reporting and process management (Intermediate level).


• Ability to provide a valid BA competency certificate before starting the assignment. If available immediately, this replaces the standard BA certificate requirement.


• Preparedness to complete an online knowledge test as part of the VECTOR7™ Signal Stack vetting process. Only successful candidates will proceed to interview.

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in Dutch is required for effective communication and documentation.

Other Requirements

• Only candidates meeting all specified criteria (skills, experience, language, and availability) will be considered.


• Consultants must read and approve all documents integral to the Statement of Work upon assignment start.


• Partial remote work is possible; flexibility to operate both on-site and in the field is essential.
