In The Pocket is a leading European Digital Product Studio. We are a complete delivery organisation that defines, designs & ships digital strategies, products and platforms. We’re a lively bunch that’s up for any challenge: global cloud-based platforms, large audience apps, AI agents, medical devices, banking software, and much, much more. As long as it lives and breathes digital.

In The Pocket is organized in Tribes, typically consisting of about 6-8 product teams of ±10 people. Tribes are managed by a cross-functional leadership team consisting of a Tribe Lead, an Engineering Lead and a Product & Design Lead. Together, these 3 people are responsible for realizing In The Pocket’s mission towards their clients and people.

What will you do?

As a Product & Design Lead, you oversee all product & design activities within your tribe. You combine product leadership with people management skills to succeed in your role. Your key responsibilities include:

Lead a thriving community of Product & Design professionals

• Lead all Product Managers and Product Designers within the tribe (±15 people).


• Establish coaching practices to foster a culture of sharing, feedback and continuous improvement.


• Ensure the team is equipped with the right mentorship, training, tools, processes and best practices to grow in their roles.


• Facilitate a smooth onboarding and integration of new team members.


• Ensure that continuous attention is given to quality, team wellbeing and performance, with timely interventions as needed.

Deliver outstanding product leadership

• Promote strong product thinking, rigorous design processes, and strategic alignment to ensure high-quality delivery, towards our clients and within the tribe.


• Provide strategic guidance and challenge teams to unlock better outcomes with our clients.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to grow trust and uncover new opportunities.


• Offer support during crucial phases such as kickoffs or escalations.


• Maintain close collaboration with our communities of practice to maintain best-in-class product & design processes.

Shape the tribe’s long-term mission and talent strategy

• Oversee workload distribution and team composition, making adjustments where necessary.


• Play a key role in staffing decisions and in identifying future hiring needs.


• Drive strategic initiatives and contribute actively to company-wide programs.


• Promote presales excellence by mentoring team members and supporting the creation of impactful proposals.

Who you are?

• Experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams of product managers and designers.


• Strong background in digital product development, with hands-on experience in product management and/or design.


• Strategic thinker who can balance client goals, user needs, and business impact.


• A people-first leader focused on empowerment, growth, and performance.


• Skilled in building trust and connecting with clients and internal stakeholders alike.
