Product Manager

Job Description - Product Manager

What we are building at Sitemark

Sitemark is the AI and robotics platform for building and operating renewable energy. The world's leading Owners, EPCs, and O&M companies use Sitemark.

What problem are we solving and why is this important to solve

The world is building one of the largest infrastructure shifts in history — and it needs better tools to get it done. Renewable energy projects are growing in scale, complexity, and urgency, but the teams responsible for building and operating them are stretched thin — buried in repetitive work, disconnected systems, and running out of time. That's why we built Sitemark: AI and robotics take the repetitive load off these teams, from the field to the office, so their time goes to what matters — and sites get built faster and perform better.

The team you'll join

You will join an extremely talented team of incredibly passionate, high-energy people. We go the extra mile while having the best time of our lives.

How we operate

  • We care deeply about our customers and the problems we solve for them.
  • We move fast, keep things simple, and focus on what matters.
  • We keep our quality bar high by staying lean and hiring only the best.

Tasks

Great products start with someone who understands the problem better than anyone else in the room. As a Product Manager at Sitemark, that's you — you own the problem and the outcome it drives, from first customer conversation to real value delivered. You're in constant contact with customers, digging into why they need something, what breaks if we don't build it, who the users are, and what success actually looks like for them — and then you help solve it, shaping the answer shoulder-to-shoulder with a squad rather than handing over a spec and walking away.

We work in agile squads: a shared pool of engineers forms around a mission and owns it end to end, with no fixed teams. The product team keeps the overview across all of it, turning input from customers, sales, customer success, and operations into a prioritized roadmap and a point of view on where we're headed. We want you to be visionary about that direction — but we never build on vision alone: nothing ships until we've validated that the problem is real and the solution works, so most of the work is grounded — form a sharp hypothesis, then prove or kill it fast. Inside a squad you're the voice of the customer, running lean validation, lining up the right customer conversations, and getting feedback back fast so your squad can win.

What this role is not

  • It's not writing specs and throwing them over the wall — our engineers think like product people, and you shape solutions with them, not for them.
  • It's not solution-first — you go deep on the problem before anyone talks features.
  • It's not sole ownership — you're part of the squad as the voice of the customer, and the whole squad wins or loses together.
  • It's not managing a backlog from a desk — staying close to customers is the job, not a quarterly ritual.

What you'll do

  • Prioritize the overview. Turn scattered input from customers, sales, customer success, and operations into a clear view of what matters most — by impact and certainty.
  • De-risk what we build. Validate value, usability, feasibility, and viability — and reshape or kill ideas early when the evidence says so.
  • Connect the dots across missions. From the product team's overview, see when problems in different missions share a root, so one solution can serve many.
  • Make sure value actually lands. Work with product marketing, design, and customer success so customers discover, understand, and get real value from what we ship.
  • Keep everyone aligned. As the glue between customers and every internal team, proactively communicate what we're building, what we're not, when, and why — so no one is left guessing.
  • Occasionally build it yourself. For smaller things, prototype and validate directly with our AI tooling then pull in the right engineer to review.

What success looks like after 6–12 months:

  • The roadmap reflects the biggest, most validated opportunities — and we're not burning cycles on things nobody needed.
  • Squads move faster because you bring them sharp problems and fast customer feedback.
  • Features don't just ship — customers discover them, understand them, and get real value.
  • You've helped shape where the product is going, not just what got built today.

Requirements

  • Deep customer empathy — you genuinely care about your customers' problems and are driven to solve them.
  • Strong abstract thinking — you dig to the root of a problem and cleanly break it into sub-problems.
  • A proactive communicator and storyteller — you make complex problems and solutions easy for anyone to grasp, and you keep people ahead of what's happening and why, rather than waiting to be asked.
  • Comfortable in solution space too — you can reason about how to change the platform to solve a problem, usually at the higher, more conceptual level.
  • A collaborative operator — you work closely across engineering, sales, customer success, operations, and marketing, and you thrive with shared ownership rather than command-and-control.
  • An eye for UX — you care whether something is intuitive and usable (we have a guild for the deep design work, but you set the bar).
  • Technical enough to interface with engineers on feasibility — you don't need to code, but you can reason about how something might be built and which approaches are realistic.
  • High agency and a strong sense of ownership, low ego — you take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks, work autonomously in a small, fast-paced team, and are comfortable working in English.

Nice to have

  • Enough hands-on technical comfort to validate ideas yourself — setting up data with SQL, poking at APIs with Postman, or prototyping with our AI tooling.
  • Experience in renewable energy, drones/robotics, or another technical B2B domain. No solar background required — we'll teach you the domain; curiosity matters more.

Benefits

  • Real ownership of the problems that shape our product — you help decide what's worth solving, not just how.
  • A front-row seat to the customers building the world's renewable energy infrastructure.
  • A team that moves fast, stays lean, and hires only the best.
  • Work on a mission that matters: accelerating the world's transition to renewable energy.
  • A competitive salary with fringe benefits.
  • Hybrid working model — two days a week in our Leuven office.
