Job Description



Currently, we are looking for a  Product Manager for RAILWAY infrastructure in Liège, Belgium.  You will be in charge of a set of solutions and products and later in charge of a business sub-segment for the Group. You will drive the full marketing strategy (Vision & Roadmap, SPRINT, Launch, support to MARCOM; Portfolio Management incl. EOL, TCO) and also responsible to drive the business in order to build revenues and profitability today and in the next 3 to 5 years for its assigned sub-segment(s).

The Product Manager will report directly to the Business Segment Manager – Large Area and Industry. 


Main responsibilities :

  • Market Analysis & Customer Intimacy : Understand trends, identify partnership opportunities, be close to the market, synthetize customer insights, analyze how to create differentiation, value pricing, …)
  • Create a clear vision & 3-5 year roadmap : Define company vision and 3-5 year growth/profitability objectives, make & defend business plan, …
  • Product Roadmap Execution & Delivery : Define new product candidates & prepare SPRINT, define & prioritize segment product cost reduction plans and performance upgrades. In cooperation with R&D, prioritize R&D resources according to highest possible ROI / business strategy. Communicate the roadmap and plans to the wider organization, …
  • Product Launch & Downstream Product Management : Define & contribute to development of communication programs, marketing campaigns, tools, and training programs aimed to drive profitable growth and visibility for internal, external stakeholders, support Product Launch, product administration, …
  • Business Support : Take an active role for important projects, support commercial team during pre-sales phase and/or coordinate internal resources to deliver required support to close the project.

Skills Requested

  • Master in Business/ Commercial Engineer, Economics, Engineering (mechanical, electromechanical, …) or relevant field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, any other European language would be an asset
  • Thorough understanding diverse business processes and strategy development with a focus on railway infrastructure
  • Proven ability in marketing, product strategy as well as product launch

For the particular role, we also expect the following : 

  • Excellent collaborator: building strong relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Cultural awareness: used to working with different cultures and in multiple countries.
  • Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office.
