About the Role

Step into a pivotal freelance opportunity as Product Owner for our client’s Data Platform, driving the data transformation at the heart of their business. You’ll define the vision, shape the roadmap, and lead the evolution of a strategic data asset, collaborating with business leaders, engineers, and architects to unlock new value through data, analytics, AI, and governance. Your impact will be felt across the organization as you turn business needs into actionable outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Define and maintain the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Data Platform, ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategic objectives.


• Translate business needs into clear product outcomes and actionable initiatives.


• Engage with stakeholders, platform users, architects, and delivery teams to gather requirements, manage trade-offs, and drive alignment.


• Own and continuously prioritize the Product Backlog, balancing business demand, regulatory requirements, and platform sustainability.


• Collaborate closely with analysts, developers, architects, and the Scrum Team to refine requirements and deliver impactful solutions.


• Monitor platform adoption, product outcomes, and key performance indicators (KPIs).


• Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and adjust the roadmap as needed.


• Ensure transparent communication on priorities, progress, risks, and dependencies across all stakeholders.


• Validate delivered capabilities to ensure they meet agreed objectives and deliver measurable value.


• Work alongside other platform owners and central teams to maximize alignment and reuse across the organization.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Senior Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a similar product leadership role.


• Track record of defining product vision, managing roadmaps, and driving value-based prioritization.


• Exposure to data platforms, analytics, AI, business intelligence, or data governance environments.


• Strong understanding of data and analytics concepts, enabling effective collaboration with technical teams.


• Experience working in Agile delivery environments, ideally with tools such as Octane, Jira, Confluence, or Klaxoon.

• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear priorities and actionable roadmaps.

• Collaborative, facilitative, and able to build alignment across diverse teams.

Language Proficiency

• English: Fluent (required)


• French and Dutch: Optional

Other Requirements

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks and cross-functional team collaboration.


• Ability to work onsite in Brussels as required by the project.
