Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Insurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) with in-depth expertise in both Life and Non-Life Insurance domains. The ideal candidate will support product development, process optimization, solutioning, and client engagements across insurance transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a domain expert in Life and Non-Life Insurance for internal teams and clients.

Provide insights and support during pre-sales, RFPs, solution design, and delivery phases.

Analyze insurance business processes and suggest improvements based on industry best practices.

Collaborate with IT, operations, and business stakeholders to align solutions with business goals.

Define business requirements and support functional and technical teams in understanding domain context.

Lead or support digital transformation and automation initiatives in the insurance space.

Support training, documentation, and knowledge sharing related to insurance domain topics.

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to help develop insurance strategies.

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of Life Insurance products (Term, Endowment, ULIP, Annuities) and processes.

Strong knowledge of Non-Life/General Insurance products (Motor, Health, Property, Marine, Liability, etc.)

Hands-on experience in policy lifecycle: Underwriting, Policy Admin, Claims, Reinsurance, Billing & Payments.

Exposure to insurance platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, TCS BaNCS, SAP FS, etc.) is a plus.

Knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance standards (e.g., IRDAI, Solvency II).

Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business, or related field. Master’s or certifications (LOMA, CPCU, AINS) are a plus.

Prior experience working with insurance clients in consulting or delivery roles.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and business analysis tools.
