Manual and Automation Tester

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a professional Manual and Automation Tester to join our UniQue Brussels Team.

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Conduct comprehensive testing of Kafka-based systems, emphasizing front-end functionality and asynchronous system behavior.
• Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans and cases based on software requirements and technical specifications.
• Identify, document, and ensure resolution of software defects and anomalies.
• Perform application security audits and verify compliance with programming best practices and data integrity standards.
• Monitor system performance using Dynatrace automation suites; maintain and update automation tests to improve testing efficiency.
• Operate and support test environments and networks.
• Analyze historical test data to identify trends and optimize testing processes.
• Manage and resolve technical issues within the business test environment, escalating critical risks to senior management.
• Communicate test progress, status, and findings clearly to stakeholders, and participate actively in planning, review, and governance meetings.
• Implement minor application designs such as queries and scripts, ensuring adherence to European Institution’s quality standards.

What do you need to succeed in this position?

Experience in:

• Kafka Application front end testing
• Dynatrace, cross referencing data
• Manual testing complemented by automation testing skills.
• Release management and monitoring
• Full cycle of Test documentation
• Projects applying well-established software engineering methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, and Bamboo.
• Proficiency in UNIX bash scripting and system administration; knowledge of Go language is a plus.
• Good understanding of full-stack architecture principles and web security, with experience in at least one technology stack (e.g., JEE, NodeJS/Express, Python, Angular, React).
• Familiarity with service monitoring technologies; experience with Prometheus and Grafana is advantageous.
• Experience with container management platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with release management and continuous deployment tools.
• Ability to understand, speak and English C1

Advantageous:

• Understanding of cloud platforms and standards such as OpenShift, OpenStack, and Cloud Foundry
• Experience with cloud-based development, with AWS
• Testing automation and end-to-end testing experience
• Knowledge of French at B2 level
