Retail Junior Consultant

As a Retail Junior Consultant, you will play a key role in the core business of NielsenIQ, servicing our Tech and Durable (T&D) retail partners. Our services are the reason clients continue to invest in our products and trust us as their partner for data-driven insights across a range of sectors including Electronics, Garden, DIY, and more.

We’re looking for someone who combines strong analytical skills with commercial flair to strengthen our team. You’ll report to the Retail Customer Success Manager and work closely with a group of experienced colleagues.

What you will do:

• Proactively identify and address data issues, maintaining a critical mindset to ensure data integrity and taking appropriate action when inconsistencies arise.
• Analyze and interpret sales and consumer data, turning insights into clear charts, graphs, and visual reports.
• Build compelling storylines—whether for category overviews or issue-based analyses—develop presentations, draw conclusions, and make recommendations (end-to-end process).
• Deliver final presentations and confidently present insights and recommendations to clients.
• Act as the first point of contact for your retail partners, addressing their data-related questions and requests.
• Take the lead in rolling out Newron, our new reporting tool.

What we ask:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
• Fluent in Dutch and/or French, with strong English communication skills
• Advanced analytical and visual storytelling skills
• Good relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a talent for listening—truly understanding client needs and translating them into actionable insights using NielsenIQ’s data.
• Experience in T&D/retail is a plus, but not required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office 365 tools
