The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) seeks a detail-oriented Revenue Analyst. As a Revenue Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our company's financial health by analyzing revenue streams, identifying trends, and providing insights to optimize revenue generation.

The Analyst will report to the Managing Director, Development and the Chief Operating Officer.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities (in order of importance):

Revenue Analysis:

• Conduct detailed analysis of revenue data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue generation and track performance against targets.
• Utilize financial modeling techniques to forecast revenue projections and assess potential impacts of business decisions.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on revenue performance for management and stakeholders.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data related to revenue streams.
• Provide insights into revenue drivers and variances to budget or forecast.

Data Analysis and Insights:

• Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to extract actionable insights from revenue data.
• Present findings and recommendations to management to support strategic decision-making.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and benchmarks to benchmark our revenue performance and identify areas for improvement.

Knowledge and Skills Needed:

• Proven experience in financial analysis, preferably in a revenue-focused role.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel or SQL.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with revenue recognition principles and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.

This position is for a fixed term contract for six months from July 1 - Dec 31, 2024.
