Job Description - Sales Engineer

To assist in the selling of our pioneering HVAC software, we are looking for a tech-savvy and motivated Sales Engineer. You will play a pivotal role in rolling out the Hysopt software to potential new customers and clients, engaging them with your in-depth knowledge and excellent sales skills.

This is what your week looks like:

  • You collaborate with our sales team to understand a prospect's requirements
  • You will learn all the ins and outs of the Hysopt software, to be able to relate it in a way that is understandable to both HVAC engineers and less technical prospects
  • To explain our software to potential new customers and clients, you develop and execute technical demonstrations
  • You support prospects in testing and validating our software through guided trial excersises
  • You support sales on the technical aspects of the Hysopt software, and respond to all technical questions asked further down the line, documenting these for future use in a pre sales support structure (FAQ)
  • On fairs and events, you support our team with your extensive knowledge of our software and assist where technical expertise may be required to fit a prospect's needs

You recognise yourself in this:

  • Strong communicator with great client service and sales skills
  • A few years of experience in sales and technology - in the HVAC industry is a big plus
  • Able to quickly grasp a customer's needs
  • Excellent technical and problem-solving abilities
  • Eager to continue learning in the fields of sales and engineering
  • Bachelor in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent through experience
  • Fluent in English – Dutch is a plus

"Hydronic System Optimisation", better known as Hysopt, is a rapidly growing spin-off from the University of Antwerp. Our highly skilled team develops and uses unique cloud software, that supports companies in their HVAC engineering process, and helps building owners optimise their HVAC systems. The purpose of our software is to heat and cool large buildings more efficiently, which helps to reduce energy costs and transfer to a zero-carbon future.
