Job Description - Sales Engineer Industrie - Vlaanderen

Your role

As a Sales Engineer Industry, you are the face of ABB for our industrial customers. You focus on machine builders (OEMs), system integrators, and industrial installers across Flanders, with a strong focus on West and East Flanders.

You know how to inspire customers with our total solutions — from industrial switching equipment and energy management to components for industrial automation. With our broad portfolio in the top segment of the market, you act as a true sparring partner to your customers.

Winning new customers energizes you. At the same time, you are open to temporary sales projects in other segments or around new solutions — variety motivates you.


Your responsibilities

·       Drive revenue and margin within your industrial and OEM customer portfolio, with a focus on Control Products, switches, and circuit breakers

·       Actively follow up on projects related to automation panels and OEM solutions

·       Identify and develop new market opportunities in close collaboration with the wider sales team

·       Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering excellent service and gaining deep insight into customer needs and ABB solutions

·       Prepare sales plans and quotations (including pricing), in collaboration with marketing and other departments, ensuring both technical and financial accuracy

·       Collaborate closely with Product Specialists and Technical Support Engineers

You combine commercial drive with technical affinity. You are comfortable in an advisory role and enjoy solving complex challenges. You ask the right questions and look for the core: what makes collaboration with ABB successful?

You work independently and have a strong sense of ownership. Whether it’s planning customer visits or deciding where to work — you take the lead.


You make the difference with:

·       Strong communication skills in Dutch and English

·       Experience or affinity with electrification in industry and machine building

·       An entrepreneurial commercial mindset with a strong focus on new business (±70% hunting / 30% farming)

·       A valid driver’s license (B)

·       You will be part of a dynamic team with a high level of autonomy and a strong focus on quality sales and long-term customer relationships.
