Our client is seeking a Medior Security Operations Analyst for a 5-month freelance engagement in Brussels. As a Security Operations Analyst, you will be at the frontline—identifying, analyzing, and qualifying security events that could impact business continuity and data integrity. This role is essential to maintaining operational excellence and enabling innovation without compromise.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Identify, analyze, and qualify security events using SIEM and EDR tools, ensuring rapid detection and response.


• Evaluate the severity of security incidents, initiate notifications, monitor ongoing threats, and escalate as needed.


• Support the correction and mitigation of security risks, collaborating with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.


• Provide actionable recommendations for both immediate and long-term corrective measures to strengthen security posture.


• Assist in investigations and manage the end-to-end handling of security incidents, ensuring thorough documentation and resolution.


• Contribute to the development and refinement of strategies for security event collection and management.


• Drive continuous improvement of threat, vulnerability, and attack monitoring procedures.


• Participate in the implementation of key security projects, including data classification, account security, and data loss prevention initiatives.


• Lead the design, evolution, and daily management of Purview solutions.


• Utilize IT tools such as O365 and ServiceNow to support security operations and project delivery.

• This is a freelance position for a duration of 5 months, based in Brussels, Belgium.


• Partial remote work is authorized (up to 2 days per week).


• Experience with security event management, incident response, and IT security best practices.


• Familiarity with Purview, O365, and ServiceNow is highly valued.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, high-performing team.
