ARHS Group – part of Accenture – is looking for a Senior ABAP Developer for one of its clients at the EU Institutions in Brussels.

Context

Implementation & improvement of technical software functions in response to functional specifications.

Your profile

• Assessing functional specifications and transforming these into technical software functions in an SAP environment by applying analysis and programming expertise.
• Analysing functional specifications and clarifying missing/ambiguous information;
• Proposing technical software solutions that correspond to the functional specifications, with appropriate quality characteristics (performance, ease of use, maintainability…), and using SAP technology to its best extent;
• Evaluating, comparing and recommending solutions, identifying advantages, inconveniences, opportunities and threats, and identifying technical consequences;
• Producing the technical design and technical specifications;
• Implementing and testing solutions ;
• Providing or maintaining technical documentation;
• Support and assistance on technical software solutions.
• Managing or coordinating a team of peers;
• Defining technical standards upon request;
• Proposing a software architecture for more complex solutions.
• All services shall be performed in perfect compliance with the programme quality plan and the security regulations.

These services may require to:

• Communicate about the solution;
• Share relevant knowledge with the internal team;
• Contribute to the elicitation of needs and requirements, for example by building a prototype and participate actively to workshops with stakeholders;
• Coordinate with consultants, other developers and other stakeholders for the implementation of the solutions;
• Estimate required development effort (workload).

Your profile

• Higher Education degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Fluent communication skills in English. Knowledge of French could be considered an asset.
• Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings.
• Capability to use appropriate communication in an international and multi-cultural environment.

Technical skills

ABAP

• ABAP and ABAP objects programming languages ABAP based technologies (Dynpros, ALV tables, webdynpros, BSP, workflows, sapscripts, smartforms, adobe forms, user-exits, enhancements, switches, BADI, BTE)
• Interfacing technologies and standards (Idocs, REST, XML, BAPIS, batch-inputs…)
• CDS Views and related technologies
• ABAP development environment (dictionary, screen painter, programming editor, debugging functions, eCATT testing, LSMW, authorisations objects, …)
• ADT development environment

JAVA

• JAVA development in the context of SAP, Java webdynpros, Netweaver, PI mappings, …

FIORI

• Fiori programming using the available stacks (CDS Views, RAP, Fiori Elements, BO,…)
• Fiori tools development environment (javascript, …)
• Adaptation of the Fiori Launchpad (Tiles, targets,…)

EA

• Programming CDS views in the context of S/4HANA
• Embedded Analytics.

Additional requirements

• Demonstrated Training related to SAP or relevant software development methods in the last 2 years
• Knowledge of ASAP methodology
• Good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA
• Good knowledge of Agile
• Good knowledge of software modelling techniques (UML or similar)
