Senior Cyber & Tech PI Underwriter

Do you have extensive experience in Cyber & Tech PI underwriting and the drive to grow a successful Cyber & Tech PI portfolio? We are looking for a senior underwriter with strong technical expertise, commercial judgment and well-established market relationships. In this role, you will help shape our Cyber & Tech PI strategy, drive profitable growth and build trusted partnerships with customers, brokers and colleagues across the region. Tech PI forms part of the Cyber vertical within our Global Specialty division.

About the role
Zurich is one of the most specialized commercial insurance companies for local and international businesses in the Benelux market. We are now looking for an experienced and business-oriented individual to strengthen our Global Specialty team in Belgium as a Senior Cyber & Tech PI Underwriter. In this role, you will have a significant mandate to manage complex risks and a clear mission to drive profitable and sustainable growth.

• You will play a key role in shaping the future of our Cyber & Tech PI portfolio in Belgium. 


• You will combine deep technical expertise with strong commercial judgment, a clear trading mindset and a strong focus on customer and broker relationships.


• You will lead and execute our Cyber & Tech PI underwriting plan, with focus on technical risk selection, pricing discipline and portfolio optimization.


• You will also act as a mentor to colleagues and work closely with management to develop and execute on our underwriting strategy.

The role involves close collaboration with customers, brokers and internal stakeholders, including Claims, Actuarial and Portfolio Management.

What are we looking for?

• Proven experience as a Cyber and/or Tech PI underwriter or broker, with a strong network and a track record of delivering profitable growth.


• Deep understanding of Cyber and/or Tech PI exposures, controls, insurance wording and current market trends.


• Strong technical underwriting expertise and a clear commitment to risk quality and good governance.


• Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret financial information, understand P&L drivers and make decisions that support portfolio performance.


• Experience working across different market and business cycles, with the ability to adapt trading strategies accordingly.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch. Proficiency in French is considered an advantage.
