For the expansion of our BIS team, argenx is looking for a Senior Director BIS G&A/CMC.

The Senior Director BIS G&A/CMC is the single point of accountability for strategy and implementation for all information, processes and systems to address the business needs and challenges of the CMC, Manufacturing, Supply C h ain , Legal , Finance and Human Resources teams. The individual in this role is a key strategic leader within the BIS team reporting to the Head of BIS.

Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Financial, People, and Legal information are strategic assets for argenx and the Senior Director G&A BIS/CMC builds capabilities to maximize the value of our corporate data through data analysis, operational ef fectiveness , ensuring highest quality and efficient m anufacturing and d istribution , efficient financial operations, people empowerment and legal compliance worldwide. Working with our CMC/Manufacturing, Legal, Finance and Human Resources teams, the person in this role defines the processes, maps the information flow/ architecture and configures the tools that are essential to deliver medicines to market that transform the lives of patients.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Understand and anticipate strategic, market, and operational information and technology needs of the cross-functional client areas . Lead teams to deliver well-defined business process improvements and technology solutions that add value to argenx .

• Establish strong relationships with all levels of the G&A organizations at argenx to deliver value-added solutions that work at both the strategic and operational levels.

• Establish governance processes, define an annual portfolio of projects and contract resources and oversee implementation to deliver business outcomes that positively impact the effectiveness of the various corporate organization s , argenx ’ s ability to execute globally , and ultimately , patients .

• Work with external partners/vendors to configure solutions and lead implementation of BIS projects to deliver successful business outcomes.

• In c ollaboration with Senior Leadership, lead strategy and define B I S service and portfolio priorities and contribute to the jointly defined business outcomes for various corporate org s .

• Maintain an overall understanding of industry landscape and the direction and strategy of the corporate teams to ensure that we are working on the right priorities .

• Respond and communicate as both tactical and strategic issues come up with the overall set of BIS solutions and services that are used by teams across Finance, Legal, and HR with internal and external partners.

• Manage a current staff of three FTEs plus contractors and multiple implementation and support partners and the corresponding budget
  

Desired Skills and Experience

• Master’s Degree in Information Technology , MBA or combination of degree and related experience that exceeds the minimum qualifications.

• Minimum of 15 years working either in or near a biotech Manufacturing/ CMC function and/ or corporate G&A function, either within BIS/IT and/or in multiple business functions .
  (Preference for CMC/Manufacturing if both not present)

• Experience overseeing Information services and systems globally.

• Understanding of the industry landscape and global regulatory requirements ( e.g. GxP , SOx . GDPR, etc..).

• Experience managing geographically distributed teams in an out-sourced environment.

• Demonstrated ability to work and influence at multiple levels within multidisciplinary and matrixed organization.
