Senior IT Support Engineer

Life on the team

Experienced On-Site IT Technician providing IT support within chemical and biological production environments and laboratories, including R&D, clinical trials, and manufacturing.

Brings 3–5 years of experience in a similar role or in local IT support, with strong technical expertise and a service-oriented approach. Fluent in French and technical English, both written and spoken. 

What You'll Do

• Provide Level 1 & 2 support for hardware, OS, and software incidents


• Manage service requests and asset tracking


• Install, configure, and maintain workstations and peripherals (barcode readers, label printers, network equipment, etc.)


• Deliver and integrate IT equipment on-site


• Manage Windows (AD and local) access rights


• Restore hardware and software functionality


• Draft procedures and execute test documentation


• Support end users and provide technical guidance


• Communicate effectively within the IT team

Work Conditions

• Rotating shifts 8 hours, from 6 AM till 10 PM


• Participation in 24/7 international on-call support

What You'll Need

You bring hands-on technical skills as well as great interpersonal skills. 

• Ideally, you have 3 to 5 years of experience in a support environment


• Service-oriented with strong customer focus


• Compliant with safety, hygiene, environmental and regulatory standards


• Able to work independently and within a team


• Proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented


• Adaptable and calm under pressure


• Organized, methodical, and respectful of deadlines and confidentiality

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of PC hardware and Windows OS


• Understanding of backup, archiving, imaging, and disaster recovery principles


• Knowledge of client/server and network architecture


• Experience with ticketing systems


• Basic knowledge of IT security and project management

Assets:

• Windows OS and/or ITIL Foundation certification


• Experience with MES or SCADA systems


• Experience in validated or GMP-regulated environments
