Job Description - Senior Java Backend Engineer

A leading financial institution is strengthening its technical team supporting the Murex trading and risk management platform.

The role focuses on backend software development, CI/CD automation, and integration within the high -performance dealing room environment, supporting traders, back office, and foreign branches.Responsibilities

Translate functional specifications into technical design.

Develop and maintain backend components of the Murex ecosystem.

Set up and enhance CI/CD processes and automation.

Conduct self -review and peer code reviews.

Perform integration and technical testing with interfacing systems.

Resolve incidents, defects, and support application maintenance.

Collaborate with business and ICT stakeholders.

Provide documentation, performance tuning, and weekend/holiday support when required.

Requirements

Must Have

5+ years backend software development experience.
Strong Java (object -oriented) and Java SDK expertise.
C++ experience.
GitHub / BitBucket – Expert.
Linux – Expert; Shell scripting mandatory.
CI/CD setup and automation experience.
Strong analytical and problem -solving skills.
Agile methodology experience.
English – Fluent.

Should Have / Nice to Have

Experience with Murex platform (strong asset).
Knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL).
Python programming knowledge.
Financial markets domain experience.
Experience supporting regulated environments.
