Our network team is responsible for the setup, security, and operations of the network that is used for an extensive range of services in our industrial and office contexts. To accomplish our tasks, we can rely on a wide range of tools and technologies. We are active in locations in Belgium, France, UK, Germany, and Switzerland. The team is also involved in many projects (from setup of connectivity in new data centres, securing & connecting to the cloud, modernizing our WAN network, supporting the functional evolutions requested by application teams…). In this context, we are looking for motivated people who can help us contribute to the realization of our challenges.
Timing & Place
- Place of mission : Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium
- Start date : As soon as possible
- Duration : Initial duration of 1 year (renewable)
- Work regime : The first three months of the mission will be full-time in the office. After this initial period, hybrid work is possible, in the form of 3 days on-prem, 2 days to choose (under condition the work permits it).
Function Description
- You will operate in a team supporting the company activities which run 24/7.
- You will operate in an IT and OT environment, and are as such very diligent in preparing and executing changes.
- You will participate in the deployment and maintenance of OT and IT systems.
- You support our colleagues both in BE and other parts of Europe.
- You are well-versed in the different aspects of networking (routing, switching, software, ….) and like to work with all of these.
General Skills
- You master one of our national languages Dutch or French (this is a must) and are fluent in English.
- You are always ready to work with other ICT teams.
- You are a team player but also know how to work independently.
- You are always ready to support your teammates.
- You have your own car.
- You can travel if and when required to one of our Belgian locations.
- You have a background in computer science.
- You are open to pick up a standby role (max 1 week in 4).
Technical Skills
- Operational firewall knowledge (Palo Alto and Checkpoint).
- Understanding of routing and switching protocols; OSPF, ISIS, MST, ….
- Experience with cloud technologies.
- Experience with Cisco Wireless.
- You have worked with Python and/or Ansible for automation.
- You have knowledge of backend tools for monitoring, NAC, central syslog, authentication.
Technical Environment
We operate the entire network stack from LAN to WAN and from the data centre to the cloud. We operate both in the IT and OT world. You will operate in a mostly Cisco environment, but Juniper knowledge is a plus. You will come in contact with:
- Cisco ASR, ISR, Catalyst, and Nexus devices
- Firewalls from Checkpoint and Palo Alto
- Elastic
- RSA
- ISE
