Senior SEO Specialist

As Senior SEO Specialist you own one of LYNX’s most important growth channels in the Dutch and Belgian markets.

You are responsible for driving organic visibility, traffic, and conversions through high-quality, search-optimized content. You combine deep expertise in on-page SEO with strong analytical skills and stakeholder management to continuously improve content performance.

Your mission is to grow LYNX’s organic presence by making our content more relevant, discoverable, and effective, while operating within a regulated environment. You are both strategic and hands-on: defining priorities and roadmaps while executing detailed optimizations and guiding others in SEO best practices.

What you’ll do

• SEO Strategy & Prioritization: Conduct keyword research and define SEO priorities for NL & BE, aligned with the broader content and marketing roadmap.
• On-Page Optimization: Optimize existing Dutch-language pages (meta data, headings, internal linking, structured data, and page structure) to improve rankings and organic traffic.
• Content Collaboration: Partner with the content team to brief, review, and optimize new Dutch content so it is locally relevant and search-optimized.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor SEO performance using tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, and SEO platforms; report on rankings, traffic, and conversion trends.
• Market & Competitor Analysis: Track local competitor activity and identify content and technical opportunities in the Dutch and Belgian markets.
• SEO Guidelines & Governance: Define and maintain on-page SEO guidelines and best practices, ensuring consistency and scalability across all content.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Development, and Design to implement SEO improvements (e.g. templates, internal linking, page speed, UX signals).
• Opportunity Identification: Identify and prioritize high-impact SEO opportunities such as new content clusters, SERP features, and intent gaps, and build business cases.
• Compliance Alignment: Ensure all content meets regulatory and compliance requirements while maintaining SEO performance.
• SEO Advocacy: Act as the go-to SEO expert for NL & BE, educating stakeholders and promoting SEO best practices across the organization.

Who you are

• You have 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with a strong focus on content and on-page optimization
• You have a proven track record of driving organic growth (traffic, rankings, conversions)
• You have strong experience with keyword research, search intent analysis, internal linking, and content strategy
• You are experienced with tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, and SEO platforms (e.g. Semrush, Sistrix, Screaming Frog)
• You have a solid understanding of technical SEO fundamentals
• You are able to work cross-functionally with content, product, engineering, and analytics teams  
• You have a data-driven mindset and can translate insights into actionable improvements
• You are a native Dutch or Flemish speaker (required)
• You are fluent in English

Nice to have

• French language skills
• Experience in a regulated or compliance-heavy environment
• Editorial or journalism background
• Experience in financial services, brokerage, or fintech or affinity with investing or trading
• Experience with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress)
• Experience in international SEO (multi-language / multi-market setups).
• Experience with data visualization tools
