About the Role

As a Technician within Securitas Technology, you are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our electronic security solutions, including intrusion systems, access control, CCTV, and fire detection. You play a crucial role in delivering high-quality technical service to our customers and ensuring the reliability of our solutions in the field.

You represent Securitas Technology directly at customer sites and therefore contribute significantly to our professional image.

⚠️ Language Requirement – Dutch Mandatory

This position requires full professional proficiency in Dutch (spoken and written).

You will work daily with Dutch-speaking customers, local contractors, colleagues, and documentation.

➡️ Applications without strong Dutch language skills cannot be considered for this role.

French is a plus but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Configuration

• Install cameras, badge readers, controllers, cabling, routers, switches, and other hardware components.

• Configure hardware and software according to technical specifications.

• Perform functional tests to validate proper system performance.

• Maintain and repair installed systems in case of incidents.

• Prepare installation reports and complete all documentation accurately.

Service Quality & Productivity

• Follow internal processes and procedures to meet SLA targets.

• Ensure accurate time registration (travel time and working hours).

• Coordinate planning with customers when needed and escalate delays proactively.

Customer Interaction

• Act as a visible and professional representative of Securitas Technology.

• Provide clear communication and support to customers during onsite interventions.

• Collaborate constructively with engineers, planners, team leaders, and project managers.

Safety & Compliance

• Work according to VCA** safety standards.

• Report incidents or unsafe situations immediately.

• Participate in mandatory toolbox meetings and maintain required certifications (BA4/BA5, etc.).

Stock & Materials

• Ensure proper material usage registration.

• Request materials on time and follow up on deliveries.

Profile & Requirements

Education

• Technical Bachelor’s degree or Technical Secondary Education with specialisation in IT, electronics, electricity, or security systems.

Experience

• Experience in electronic security, IT infrastructure, CCTV, intrusion, access control, or similar technical domain.

• Field experience in installation or servicing is a strong asset.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of ICT basics (Windows, networks, configuration tools).

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

• Knowledge of security or alarm legislation is a plus.

Soft Skills

• Customer-oriented and service-minded.

• Strong communication skills (including clear reporting).

• Quality-driven and detail-oriented.

• Autonomous but also a strong team player.

• Proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented.

Certifications

• VCA Basic (mandatory or willingness to obtain).

• BA4/BA5 is a plus.

• Height worker or lift certification is an asset.
