As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you build and support  automation frameworks , strategize automation solutions , maintain test scripts , and optimize quality .

You are responsible for:

• Building efficient testing solutions for web and services/APIs, and developing functional testing requirements .
• Building domain knowledge on supply chain solutions for specific industries, including the chemical, life sciences, and packaging industries.
• Participating in requirement and architecture/design reviews , focusing on test automation/performance strategy, and ensuring best practices.
• Participating in functional, system, and regression testing
• Analyzing, designing, and developing automation/performance solutions that meet organization standards.
• Building and integrating reliable, reusable, and maintainable automated regression suites and test harnesses.

You collaborate with multiple teams that work in OMP’s offices around the world.

As our new Software developer in testing, you’ll be part of a large, fast-growing, international Quality Assurance team located in Belgium (Antwerp, Ghent, Wavre), Spain (Barcelona), Ukraine (Lviv), US (Atlanta) and India (Mumbai). Quality Assurance tracks and solves the weak spots in our software. With thorough testing, and systematic analysis and review of the entire software development cycle, we oversee our solution’s quality. We believe in an integrated approach, where every team member is involved in all steps of the Quality Assurance testing cycle.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who meets the following qualifications:

• We are looking for someone who meets the following qualifications:
• Experience in automation design framework and testing
• Experience with any scripting languages like PowerShell or Python or TypeScript
• Working experience with desktop applications, on Client-Server Architecture and continuous integration testing (Sqlserver, REST API, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git…)
• A master’s degree in Computer Science or similar by experience
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a software testing role that included testing methodologies, tools, and processes, and writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• A solid technical IT or software development background
• A strong ability to collaborate and communicate
• Adherence to procedures

Bonus points if you have:

• The ability to work independently
• A willingness to proactively improve the efficiency of testing
• A certificate in software testing (ISTQB, TMap, WAPT)
