Job Description - Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Description

About 3P:

3P is one of the most successful software companies in Belgium, with more than 2,000 customers, a 97% market share, and an incredibly strong reputation. We are growing rapidly and are active in Belgium and France, where we have been developing software for the public sector for over 20 years.

We’re on an ambitious journey — migrating our trusted client-based application into a powerful, modern web platform designed for performance, scale, and a seamless user experience.

To ensure this transformation meets the highest standards, we’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who’s passionate about precision, automation, and the craft of delivering flawless software.

You’ll be the guardian of quality across the migration track — ensuring every feature, workflow, and user interaction performs beautifully in our new environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans for both legacy and new web components.
  • Develop and execute automated and manual test cases to ensure reliability, performance, and user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to identify, document, and resolve issues early in the cycle.
  • Validate data integrity, APIs, and end-to-end functionality across the migration.
  • Champion a shift-left testing mindset — integrating quality early in the development process.
  • Build and enhance test automation frameworks to support continuous delivery.
  • Track and report testing progress, coverage, and key quality metrics.
  • Continuously improve QA practices, tools, and documentation.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, ideally within web applications or migration projects.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test automation, and Agile development processes.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar.
  • Familiarity with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of frontend and backend systems and how they interact.
  • Sharp analytical skills and attention to detail — you don’t just find bugs, you find root causes.
  • Fluency in Dutch and/or French, and very good knowledge of English

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience with performance testing (e.g., JMeter, k6) or security testing.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python for scripting automated tests.
  • Experience testing cloud-based or containerized environments.
  • A mindset that blends curiosity with pragmatism — ensuring both quality and velocity.

We offer you:
• A strategic and impactful role within a rapidly growing company
• Real opportunities for professional development
• A strong team culture based on collaboration, trust, and knowledge sharing
• A challenging position with significant freedom and responsibility
