Job Description - Supply Chain Manager

In parallel, Classified is developing drivetrain solutions for next-generation e-bike applications,


including compact multi-speed systems and integrated transmission technologies for mid-drive and hub-based architectures.

The Opportunity


As a Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of supply chain activities across procurement, logistics, inventory management, and ERP administration. You will ensure that inbound materials and outbound shipments are planned and executed efficiently, production Bills of Materials (BOMs) are accurately maintained in ERP, and stock levels are aligned with production requirements.



In addition to operational supply chain responsibilities, you will manage prototype and indirect purchasing activities and support supplier selection, negotiations, and contractual discussions for serial production.



This is a hands-on operational role requiring strong analytical skills, accuracy, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Act as the liaison between the headquarters in Belgium and the overseas production facilities, supporting the overseas manufacturing team and serving as a back-up point of contact for European customers regarding supply chain, logistics, and delivery-related matters.



Key Responsibilities


Inventory, Supplier Capacity and Production Planning Support



  • Monitor stock levels according to production planning parameters and budgetary targets

  • Assess and maintain supplier capacity to ensure alignment with production plans & forecasts, identify potential bottlenecks, and recommend dual sourcing opportunities, or where additional capacity and other supply risk mitigation measures are needed.

  • Identify and anticipate supply bottlenecks and propose corrective actions.

  • Support the timely delivery of prototypes, samples, and pre-series parts.


ERP and Data Management



  • Maintain and update production Bills of Materials (BOMs) in ERP.

  • Create and maintain item master data and related supply chain information.

  • Prepare and release Production Orders for assembly.

  • Monitor and verify that all goods receipts and shipments are correctly registered and are in line with PO or SO.

  • Ensure all ERP data is accurate, complete, and up to date.


Procurement and Supplier Coordination



  • Maintain excellent relationships with Suppliers

  • Manage indirect purchasing activities (incl RFQs) and selected direct purchasing activities, including prototype parts.

  • Monitor supplier performance and proactively address quality, cost, and delivery issues.

  • Support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and related supply chain updates.

  • Support supplier nomination, commercial negotiations, and contractual discussions.


Logistics and Customs



  • Coordinate inbound transportation in the most cost-effective manner.

  • Coordinate outbound shipments to customers and ensure on-time delivery.

  • Prepare and verify shipping and export documentation.

  • Work with freight forwarders and customs brokers when required.


Reporting and Continuous Improvement



  • Monitor supply chain KPIs and prepare regular reports.

  • Analyze supply chain performance and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Support process improvements in planning, procurement, and logistics. Maintain work instructions for Supply Chain, Logistics and Procurement processes.



Ideal Candidate Profile



  • Minimum 7 years of experience in supply chain, procurement and logistics in a technical or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong experience with ERP is essential, Odoo experience is a plus.

  • Good understanding of manufacturing and production processes.

  • Experience with automotive or similarly process-driven industries is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of import/export procedures and logistics coordination is a plus.

  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and other business software.

  • Familiar with modern procurement and supply chain tools, incl. AI-based analytics and automation tools.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Highly accurate, punctual, and well organized.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Flexible, hands-on, and able to work under pressure.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
