System Engineer Construction

As a System Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing and verifying technical requirements throughout the lifecycle of a project. You will work closely with the design, preparation, and execution teams to ensure that technical expectations are clearly defined, traceable, and met.

• Guide the project team in understanding and implementing design and execution requirements
• Draft technical specifications for design, preparation, and execution phases
• Coordinate and perform verification of design documents, inspection plans, and execution procedures
• Maintain and update project structures and databases, including requirement traceability
• Monitor the application of design requirements and make adjustments as needed during the design phase
• Support the preparation and execution teams by documenting and monitoring verification processes
• Evaluate incoming System Engineering documentation from the client, subcontractors, and colleagues
• Coordinate document and requirement analysis, documenting outcomes using tools such as Relatics
• Implement and promote a clear and practical SE methodology across all project phases
• Draft and review key SE deliverables such as verification plans and inspection plans

• A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction-related field
• A background or training in System Engineering is an asset
• Hands-on experience applying SE methods during design, preparation, or execution
• Strong analytical mindset with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work independently and manage SE documentation and processes
• Familiarity with tools such as Relatics is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, structured working style, and curiosity to learn

• Fluent in Dutch

• English and/or French knowledge is considered an advantage
