THE OPPORTUNITY

As our Technical Manager Livestock / Ruminant,  you will play a key role in strengthening the scientific and technical foundation of our ruminant portfolio.

You will support both internal teams and external stakeholders with high‑quality expertise, enabling better decision‑making, customer excellence, and impactful product use within the Belgian market.

You will acquire and translate relevant veterinary knowledge, engage with KOLs, and contribute to strategic discussions while ensuring that all activities meet legal and regulatory requirements.

You will report to the Business Unit Head of Livestock.  This is a field-based position, majority of your time will be spent in the field.  Please, note that some travelling within Belgium (and occasionally Luxemburg) will be required for this position.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build strong relationships with KOLs in the veterinary and ruminant sectors.


• Act as a recognized technical partner in the Belgian ruminant community.


• Provide technical review and scientific validation of marketing and promotional materials.

• Deliver high‑quality technical sales support to the Sales Force.


• Ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance of all technical communications.


• Conduct customer trainings, farm visits, and on‑site technical sessions.


• Prepare scientific papers, abstracts, and oral presentations for professional events.

• Support the development of innovative sales tools and training aligned with evolving customer needs.

• Address customer inquiries with accurate, timely, and high‑value technical responses.


• Conduct proper investigation and documentation of adverse events (AE) according to BI standards.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM

• Master’s degree in Veterinary.


• At least 5 years in the animal health industry or as a veterinarian practitioner.


• Strong understanding of animal health and ruminant diseases.


• Customer‑focused mindset with strong technical credibility.


• Strong planning, prioritization, and problem‑solving abilities.


• Excellent command of Dutch, French & English languages.


• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.


• Ability to translate scientific knowledge into practical, business‑relevant insights.


• Collaborative and approachable personality. You work cross-functionally, bring empathy and curiosity, and contribute to a positive team culture.
