We need you for the position of 

Application Support Engineer

The Job 

As an Applications Support Engineer within the Applications Support Group, you bridge the gap between customers, field applications, and engineering. You support key customer projects, solve complex technical issues, and help shape better products, tools, and support processes through direct customer insight. 

Your Mission 

Technical Support

• Own and drive the resolution of complex customer issues, working closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Operations in a quick and efficient manner.


• Solve complex technical puzzles through data analysis, troubleshooting, and issue replication.


• Leverage AI and automation to improve technical documentation, knowledge sharing, data analysis, and support tools.


• Provide technical guidance and product training to customers, partners, and internal teams when needed.


• Equip our Field Application Engineers (FAEs) with the knowledge they need to excel.

Application Engineering

• Perform benchmarking and performance assessments of GNSS and GNSS/INS solutions in representative customer environments. 


• Analyze application data and competitive solutions to provide insights into performance, usability, and robustness. 


• Support validation activities, field testing, and technical investigations.

Product Improvement

• Work closely with Product Management and Engineering, providing customer feedback and application insights to influence product development. 


• Support prototype evaluations and early customer engagements for new products and features. 


• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our products, support processes, and technical infrastructure.

Customer Engagement

• Support key customer opportunities and design-ins by providing advanced technical and application expertise. 


• Engage directly with selected customers to understand their challenges and help them get the most out of Septentrio technology.

Your Qualification 

Education & Technical Background

• You hold a master’s or technical bachelor’s degree in electronics, computer science, geomatics or equivalent.


• You are tech-savvy, with a strong understanding of software and hardware integration.


• You have an analytical mind, capable of diving deep into data analysis.

Personal Skills

• You are a team player with a customer-oriented attitude and great interpersonal skills.


• Clear communication is key.


• You are a proactive problem solver who takes ownership of technical issues and creates resources for self-help.


• Willingness to travel approximately 5–10%


• Proficiency in English is a must.


• Additional languages are a plus and will set you apart.
